    Fantastic, EXACTLY what the Dr ordered! Question: Where and what would you enter in the filter to show all records if nothing was chosen in the combobox?

      Add an OR operator in your Filter (2nd parameter). " Or IsEmpty(comboBox.SelectedItems)"

      @@PowerAppsTutorial I was reading that you're a relationships expert. For sharepoint lists being used primarily by power apps, do you reccommend using single text columns over lookup columns for simplicity? And if so do you have any videos on that? Creating list associations with signle text column. I guess it would need a ID column too? LOL so lost on this stuff as I'm new to it all.

    Nice video! I'm not much of a database person, but I'm very curious about how you connect multiple sharepoint lists together in a 1 to 1 relationship using the ID column as the primary key. Surely, if the lists have a different amount of records those ID numbers won't match up to another list ... can you explain how you get the two lists to connect via this ID?

      @@PowerAppsTutorial Thanks for the clarification - I didn't realize you were simply patching one list's ID into the other list as seperate column, I thought it was directly comparing each list item's ID to ID which didnt make any sense lol. So is there any downside to NOT using the ID column, and for two seperate lists to use one single unique identifier like "CustomerName" which will always be the same on both lists? Thanks.

    • @PowerAppsTutorial
      @PowerAppsTutorial 2 дня назад

      No downsides, you only have to ensure that your CustomerName is a unique column😊

      @@PowerAppsTutorial Thanks for the invite :) I managed to resolve all the issues and the app works perfectly. Only "downfall" is that if you look at the task on To-do or Outlook apps, it shows the HTML. But other than that - works fine and Rich Text input box works wonders as well.

      @@PowerAppsTutorial - I'd think a great opportunity to re-build it with us vs the demo. selfishly I have a use case that I am sure many out there would find valuable to learn. Consider a self - assessment with questions coming from many different tables. Check boxes if you have that skill along with a rating of 0-5 for how proficient you are in that area. and another check box for do you desire to improve this skillset? to be used for another table. I know you offer consulting so I can contact you there to get some of your time. 🙂🙂

    I recently went back to watch this again. Yes, I'd love to see this APP further in regards to adding other data type questions such as drop down ratings 1-5 are other drop down question categories that the answer data type is different.

    Nice, I missed a function that would make de debuging toggle visible or not depending on if the user is a developer or not.

    • @PowerAppsTutorial
      @PowerAppsTutorial 23 дня назад

      If you need that kind of functionality, set the visibility property of the controls you want to toggle to a variable. Then update the variable based on the logged in user access rights🙂

    What do you recommend instead of using choices in SharePoint? We want to avoid creating another list for instead of choice columb and the values from that choice column needs to be shown in more than one other list.

      Your question is not so clear but here are other options to explore if you want to avoid using choice column: 1. Create your choice field on the App.Formulas propery using named formulas 2. Create a separate table (i.e. sharepoint list) for your choices)

      @@PowerAppsTutorial Thank you for your response. You mean choice field or table in power apps? I'm not that much experienced with Powerapps yet. Do you have any videos that shows how to do that. We don't want to replace these choice columns with another SharePoint list for two reasons. 1. If we add another list for every choice column it makes a lot of unnecessary lists in the site. 2. If for example you turn one these these columns into list A on your SharePoint site and you link data from list A into list B by using lookup column you can't link that column from list A into list C anymore. Does it make sense?

    How can we disable ?

    • @PowerAppsTutorial
      @PowerAppsTutorial 23 дня назад

      To disable Microsoft Authenticator or two-factor authentication (2FA) for your Microsoft 365 or Power Platform apps, sign in to the Azure portal and navigate to Azure Active Directory. Under the Users section, access the Multi-Factor Authentication page and disable MFA for selected users. If Security Defaults are enabled, go to Properties in Azure AD, manage security defaults, and disable them.

    This is an interesting point about the "Future of Power Apps". Recruiters have wanted me to apply to BMW, Walgreens, Capitol One and other large companies that are pushing for it. Makes me feel secure in taking the deep dive into Power Platform.
